- Experience – I’ve worked with non-profits in the Lower Hudson Valley for over a decade, helping to raise funding for education and the arts for organizations such as Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, the Katonah Museum of Art, and the Steffi Nossen Dance Foundation. During that time I’ve successfully identified and secured grants from private foundations, corporate foundations, and government agencies at the county, state, and federal level.
- Flexibility – I can provide as much – or as little – support as is needed, depending on fundraising targets, approaching deadlines, and each organization’s budget and staffing. I understand that non-profits need to spend each dollar wisely and that the return on investment is an important part of the equation. I do not require a monthly retainer or minimum number of hours.
- Comprehensive Support – For many organizations I’ve worked for, the first step is developing a holistic institutional fundraising plan, based on ongoing programs, “wish list” projects, and capital needs. This research-based roadmap includes detailed information on new prospects as well as lapsed and current funders. The next step is implementing the plan; I work with staff to draft, edit, and submit requests and reports in a timely manner. In addition, I provide guidance on stewarding your organization’s elected officials and I recommend strategies for engaging your board of trustees in your institutional fundraising efforts.
